Terms of use
Last updated 27 September 2026.
These terms describe how AC Market works and what you agree to when you use it.
Your account
AC Market has no passwords. You sign in with a passkey, a code from an authenticator app, a code we email you, or a single-use link, and every sign-in is confirmed by a second factor. Keep the devices, the authenticator app and the recovery codes that can sign in as you under your control. One account is for one person, and the name and address on it must be accurate.
Selling
You may list an item or a service only once your seller application has been approved. A listing must describe what is actually being offered, at the price you are asking, and must not include anything you have no right to sell. We may hide or remove a listing that breaks these terms, and a moderation decision is recorded.
All sales are final
Every sale on AC Market is final. We do not offer buyer-initiated refunds, returns or cancellations, and a buyer cannot reverse a completed purchase. The only reversal is one started by an administrator in the case of fraud or a payment dispute; it is recorded against the original transaction, which is never deleted.
A bid is binding, non-refundable and cannot be cancelled
A bid is a commitment to buy at the amount you name, and it stays open for one week from the moment it is placed. Once it has been placed, a bid cannot be cancelled or withdrawn, and any amount you bid is non-refundable. The only way to change your position is to place a new, higher bid before the window closes.
How bidding works
Your bid has to beat the highest active bid. It may be higher than the asking price, which is a floor and not a ceiling. While a bid is active the buy controls are hidden from every buyer, and if the window closes with no accepted winning bid then a new week opens with the next bid. Purchase returns as soon as no bid is active.
Reservations
A reservation holds a product for 24 hours and asks for your name, phone number and email. You may release it early. A reserved product cannot be bid on, and a product with an active bid cannot be reserved. Services cannot be reserved.
Services
A service is offered at a stated price and bought directly. Services are never reserved and never bid on.
Payment
Checkout in this version is a placeholder: it records the order but takes no money and never asks for a card number, an expiry date or banking details. When real payments are introduced they will stay with the payment provider, and only a provider reference will be stored here.
Using the marketplace fairly
Do not misdescribe an item, bid on your own listing, harass other people, or use AC Market for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account or remove content that breaks these terms, and we keep a record of every moderation decision.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the version on this page changes with them. Continuing to use AC Market after a change means you accept the new version.
