About AC Market
AC Market is a marketplace for Canadian buyers and sellers: second-hand goods from people nearby, and local services offered by the same community.
What AC Market is
Sellers publish products and services with photos, a description and a price. Buyers browse by category, narrow the list to a province or a city, or search within a chosen distance of their own address.
For buyers
Save what you like to your wish list, hold a product for 24 hours, bid on a product for a week, or buy it outright through the cart. Your order history and receipts stay in your account.
For sellers
Every seller applies first and is approved before their listings become visible, so buyers are dealing with someone the platform has looked at. Approved sellers manage their inventory, orders and payments from their own dashboard.
How the rules work
A product with an active bid cannot be bought by anyone until the bidding lapses, and a reservation blocks bidding while it holds the product — both rules are enforced by the platform, not by the buttons on the page.
Services are bought at their stated price: they are never reserved and never bid on.
Built for Canada
Accounts need a Canadian address and prices are in Canadian dollars. A listing shows a city and a province, never a street address.
Payment is a placeholder
Checkout in this version records your order but takes no money and never asks for a card number. The payment step is labelled as a placeholder everywhere it appears, and no card or banking detail is stored anywhere on AC Market.
